Happy Groundhog Day! That's all I have to say about that. :)
Here are some notes about what is happening in February.
Pampered Chef fundraiser books and forms came home today. This is a wonderful fundraiser for our school. Please do all you can to help the school with this event. All orders are due by February 14. If you have any questions about this, feel free to call me, text me, or e-mail me. If I can't answer your question, I will get you in touch with Brandy Treagesser.
Monday, February 6 there is a Friends of Stonebridge Academy meeting. This is another chance for our class to earn a "No uniform" day. We won the last time for having five parents. Let's see if we can do it again!
Tuesday, February 7 and Wednesday, February 8 I will not be at school. I am going to Oklahoma City for a conference. I hope to come back with lots of new ideas and information. Mrs. Hodge will be substituting for me. She is a recent graduate in Education and should be a fabulous substitute.
Friday, February 10 is the Science Fair. I am really looking forward to seeing the kid's projects.
Tuesday, February 14 all Pampered Chef orders are due.
Tuesday, February 14 is our class Valentine's Day party. We have 8 students, four girls and four boys. Please make sure your child's Valentine's Day cards are filled out before sending them to school. We will not have time to fill out cards during our day. If you would like to send treats that day please let me know so we don't have 60 cupcakes!
Monday, February 20 there will be no school for President's Day.
Tuesday, February 21 is Mardi Gras. We will have a small celebration during the day. More details will follow.
Wednesday, February 29 is our next field trip. We will be going to the Sam Noble Museum in Norman. If you are interested in going on this trip, please let me know. We need at least one parent from our class, because we must have one adult for every five children.
I think these are all the events for February. I did not realize it was going to be this busy of a month until I wrote it all down. Whew! That's a lot. Well, it should help to make the rest of the winter go quick. I do wish it would snow so it would really feel like winter!
As always, thanks for all you do. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
